Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Regional Collection Manager – Auto Loan (Commercial Vehicle) to lead collection and recovery operations across the assigned region. The role will be responsible for driving collection efficiency, controlling delinquency, improving portfolio quality, and ensuring achievement of regional collection and recovery targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial vehicle collection and recovery operations across the assigned region.
- Drive collection performance across buckets, including early bucket, overdue, delinquent and NPA accounts.
- Manage and guide collection teams, agencies and field recovery resources to achieve business targets.
- Develop effective strategies for reducing DPD, roll-forward and overall portfolio delinquency.
- Monitor collection productivity, field visits, agency performance and recovery outcomes.
- Handle high-value and critical delinquent accounts and drive resolution through appropriate recovery strategies.
- Ensure compliance with the organization’s collection policies, regulatory guidelines and customer-handling standards.
- Review MIS, collection dashboards and regional performance metrics and take corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Credit, Sales, Legal, Operations and other stakeholders for effective resolution of difficult cases.
- Identify high-risk accounts and implement timely preventive and recovery measures.
- Drive repossession, settlement, legal recovery and other resolution mechanisms, wherever applicable.
- Ensure strong governance, discipline and performance management across the collection function.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have 12–18+ years of experience in collections/recovery, preferably in the Commercial Vehicle / Auto Finance / Auto business within a leading NBFC or bank. Candidates with strong regional collection leadership experience, proven expertise in managing large teams and agencies, and a track record of improving collection efficiency and reducing delinquency will be preferred.
